History.
The Festival at the Forty started in 1979 as Frontier Days. Frontier Days embraced the early lifestyles of the residents of Grimsby. Frontier Days became Festival at the Forty in 1986, when the organization of the Festival was taken over by the Grimsby and District Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber of Commerce ran a successful 3 day event including music, a wine and beer garden.
In 2005, the Merchants of Downtown Grimsby took over the Festival at the Forty. Over the last 3 years, we have organized a Festival committee of people from within the community to assist us in organizing a thriving Festival, with the goal of entertaining residents, as well as visitors to Grimsby.
We welcome anyone who would like to attend committee meetings and to help us maintain a successful Festival.
